Merchant Datafeed Technical Specification

File Layout REQUIREMENTS – There are a total of 11 fields comprised of 9 mandatory and 2 optional fields. These are required in the following order separated by a comma (or tab delimited in case you are using .txt format):

	Mandatory Data Fields
	1. Selling Price
	2. Manufacturer Name
	3. Manufacturer Part Number /SKU /ISBN /UPC .
	4. Product Condition – i.e., N or Blank = New, R = Refurbished (Defaults to ‘New’ if skipped)
	5. Quantity In Stock or Yes / No (Defaults to ‘Yes’ if skipped)
	6. Shipping Costs – (dollar value or Free – Defaults to ‘See Site’ if skipped) .
	7. Product Name / Short description.
	8. Referring Product URL.
	9. Product Category – (i.e., Computers > Monitors –->*please refer to our hierarchy category lists* ) Eg: See examples below

	Optional Data Fields – Must be provided in the following order
	10. Product Description – (Long description)
	11. Product Image URL

File Properties:
	Please utilize a comma-separated .CSV format or tab delimited .TXT
	You may embed any fields in a “ (double quotes)
	Keep data feed file name consistent and unique to your site for proper identification – i.e. POLdatafileYourDomain.csv
	Prices are updated daily

Information we need from you:
	FTP or HTTP location of where the file is located.
	User ID and Password if the ftp or HTTP location of your CSV file is password protected.
	Please contact your account executive at Planet Online, if you need a FTP server from us in order to upload your data feed to us.

IMPORTANT : Once your product feed is approved by our technical department, your site will be added to our merchant queue to go live on our site. The lead time is 2-3 business days after approval. You must update your file on a weekly basis and maintain the same file name unique to your site.
